From molecules to the whole organism—
understanding dopaminergic neurotransmission across biological scales
Dopaminergic neurotransmission is a central signaling system involved in movement, cognition, learning and emotion. Its disruption is closely associated with neurological and psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia and Parkinson's disease.

We focus on molecules implicated in disease and on newly identified regulatory factors. Our research asks how these molecules control dopaminergic neurotransmission and how their disruption contributes to the onset and progression of neurological disease.
